Throughout my career as a vidographer, I always considered weddings as a last resort option as a way to keep a camera in my hand for a living. I have turned down a handful of wedding projects on the notion that if I were to do only one, then it would be the beginning of the end.
But when my friend and neighbor Frankie knocked on my door two days before his wedding in desperate need of a favor, I couldn’t turn him down.
As it turned out, Frankie and his bride Tristin had planned the coolest wedding I had ever been too and documenting it was just as much fun as it was work.
Maybe it was because I knew the bride and groom, or that a lot of the guests happened to be friends of mine also, but creating this video made me think again about what it means to be a wedding videographer.
